Your education. Your Voice. Your choice.

Your voice matters, your opinion matters! Do you want a say in what classes NMAR offers? Do you have a passion for education, or would like to test the waters?

Do you like taking CE classes? Do you think it’s important for our NMAR members to be educated in their chosen profession? Would you like to attend as many classes as you’d like without paying the cost for the voucher/membership?

If you said yes to any of the above then you just might be a good fit for the NMAR Professional Development Committee! Our purpose is to support NMAR members to achieve a higher standard of real estate knowledge.

Our committee meets monthly on the second Tuesday. Meetings are generally one hour. In the course of the meetings discussions will be focused on speakers for the current and upcoming year and what topics are presented. The committee reviews all class evaluations to ensure that the NMAR Education Program is the best that it can be.

Expectations of each committee member:

  • Proctor a minimum of 16 CE's each education year.
    • Education vouchers are provided for proctors who complete 16 CEs of proctoring. If a member(s) fail to meet the 16 CEs required at end of education calendar, they must pay for a voucher.
  • Attend committee meetings in accordance with NMAR Policy.

Be apart of your Association, and make an impact on the education that NMAR provides! Submit your interest today!

Why I joined Professional Development?

I joined the Professional Development Committee for a few reasons. The main one being to connect with my fellow agents, networking and building relationships with agents I could potentially work with was extremely beneficial to me and my clients. Second, I joined to help have a say about what classes are being brought to our agents. Education is extremely important in our industry as it is ever changing. Lastly, being involved in committees at a local level to gain the experience and knowledge of how boards/board meetings work. I enjoyed my time on the Professional Development Committee. For anyone looking to get their feet wet so to speak this is a great committee to join. ~ Lynsi DeWaard
