Continuing Education & Professional Development
The real estate landscape is constantly evolving, from market trends and regulations to new technologies and best practices. NMAR offers a variety of courses and workshops to keep members up to date and equipped with practical tools they can use every day.
In 2025, NMAR provided approximately 108 continuing education credit hours across 35 classes, with nearly 2,000 total attendees. Members engaged in topics ranging from legal updates like The Fair Housing Act: Where it Started & How It’s Going and Litigation Roundup to practical business skills such as Creating Awesome Content & Marketing Materials with Canva & AI, Negotiation & Commission Mastery, and even How AI & ChatGPT are Transforming Real Estate. NMAR also supports advanced professional development through programs like the Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI), offered by MAR. The GRI designation requires completing a minimum of 60 hours within five years, including CORE courses in Market Knowledge, Business Skills, Systems & Tools, and Avoiding Setbacks, Fines & Lawsuits. GRI-approved courses are available locally, allowing members to gain flexibility while earning advanced credentials. Completing the GRI demonstrates a commitment to professionalism, strengthens expertise, and builds credibility in the industry.
Networking & Community Connections
Education sharpens your skills, but networking expands your reach. NMAR hosts a variety of events that bring together REALTORS®, brokers, and industry professionals throughout the year. These gatherings are more than social occasions, they are opportunities to exchange ideas, discover new tools, and stay informed about local market trends.
