Upcoming Required Mobile App Update – Effective February 2, 2026

NMAR is sharing an important update from SentriLock regarding the SentriKey® Real Estate mobile app. This update, effective February 2, 2026, is part of SentriLock’s quarterly process to ensure all users are running the most secure and up-to-date app version for a more consistent and reliable experience.
What’s Changing
Typically, SentriLock evaluates adoption rates at the start of each quarter, identifies the newest version with 95% or higher adoption, and sets that version as the minimum required standard for continued app use.
For this cycle, however, we are making an exception. To improve performance and create a more consistent operating environment we are requiring an update to a more recent version of the app that has not yet reached 95% adoption. This change ensures all users benefit from several key stability and event‑logging improvements included in version 5.116.0.
What’s Included in Version 5.116.0
iOS Fixes
- Ensured event logs update correctly after using the Return Key feature.
- Fixed an issue where canceled access attempts were not updating the event log.
- Resolved a bug where the app was reading the entire event log instead of only unread entries.
- Ensured the event log is read and updated when the shackle is released.
Android Fixes
- Fixed an issue where only one page of the event log was read when a firmware update was needed.
- Resolved a problem where the token-writing process could stop without verifying alignment with uploaded pages.
- Corrected an edge case where empty firmware files prevented event logs from uploading.
What to Expect
- Impacted agents will receive an in-app notification prompting them to update.
- Beginning February 2, 2026, any users not on the required version will be forced to update the app before they can continue using it.
Please Note: This update does not require a device or operating system upgrade. Users will only need to update the app version, not their physical phone or OS.

To support a smooth transition, we ask you:
- Inform your agents of this new policy and encourage them to enable auto-updates on their phones.
- Reinforce the importance of staying current with app updates to avoid any disruption.
