When you are an NMAR member, you are automatically part of something bigger. Since 2012, NMAR members have helped give back $482,212 to the community through charitable giving, fundraising events, and volunteer efforts. Programs like Christmas for Kids, Realtor Ring Day, Family Outreach Shopping Day, and Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Day are made possible because members show up and give back together.

Realtors Care - NMAR Charitable Foundation

Building Hope. Strengthening Communities. Together, we've given back $482,212 since 2012. Applications for grants are found here. Typical grants are approximately $2,500, and the Trustees focus on organizations that target hunger, homelessness and disadvantaged youth.

The NMAR Charitable Foundation is the giving arm of the Northwest Montana Association of REALTORS®. It supports local nonprofits focused on disadvantaged youth, hunger, and housing. In 2025, the Foundation has supported organizations that help strengthen our community, including:

• Child Bridge - supporting children in need and their families.
• Christmas for Kids - ensuring a joyful holiday season for multiple families who need it most. 
• NW MT Community Land Trust - improving access to affordable housing. 
• DREAM Adaptive Recreation - providing recreation opportunities for individuals with disabilities. 
• Evergreen School District - supporting education and programs for local students. 
• Flathead Library Foundation - enriching community learning and literacy programs. 
• Flathead Youth Homes - helping youth in crisis find safe shelter. 
• All Food Banks in NW MT - providing meals to families in need. 
• Good Grief Camp - supporting children coping with loss. 
• Montana Youth Diabetes Alliance - improving the lives of children living with diabetes. 
• Serious Ju Ju - supporting creative and community initiatives. 
• The Nate Chute Foundation - suicide prevention 
• Cast for Hope - providing outdoor fishing experiences for underserved youth 
• Kayak Academy - scholarships for kayak camps 
• CRYJ (Center for Restorative Youth Justice) - promoting restorative justice programs to support youth and community healing.
• Lighthouse Christian Home - providing residential care, guidance, and support for youth in need.
• CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) - advocating for the best interests of children in the foster care and legal system.
• Evergreen School District’s Afterschool Program - offering safe, educational, and enriching activities for students beyond school hours.

Every event, fundraiser, and volunteer effort helps the Foundation make a lasting impact. You can make a donation to support programs or apply to serve as a Trustee to help guide grants and community initiatives.

Good Neighbor Award 

Every year NMAR recognizes one of their own with the Good Neighbor Award.  This award recognizes Realtors who go above and beyond in service to their community with their volunteer hours and charitable involvement.  Nominating a fellow member is a meaningful way to celebrate community leadership. Learn more.
